Film screening Pilgrimage from Scattered Points by Luke Fowler

Adam Art Gallery Te Pataka Toi and City Gallery Wellington present a special one-off screening of Luke Fowler’s film portrait of Cornelius Cardew, followed by a discussion with the artist led by Mark Williams, director of Circuit Artist Film and Video Aotearoa New Zealand.

Join us for the opening of Passages: Luke Fowler, Florian Hecker, Susan Philipsz, curated by Stephen Cleland. The Gallery will be open between 5.30 and 7.30pm. A reception will be held from 6pm at Milk & Honey Café, located immediately opposite the Gallery, with speeches at 6.30pm. Composer and Deputy Director in Composition and Sonic Arts at the New Zealand School of Music (NZSM), Dugal McKinnon, is the opening speaker for the exhibition.

As our final event five artists perform new sonic works and improvisations in response to the exhibition and the dynamics of the acoustic spaces housing it. Passengers is the second of two collaborations between the Gallery and Te Kōki New Zealand School of Music. The event it coordinated by Thomas Voyce and Dugal McKinnon.
