About

The Adam Art Gallery is a research-led institution which aims to generate and support the production of new knowledge and critical discourse on art and its intersections with other disciplines and art forms. Research outputs include exhibitions, performances, lectures and publications. These are quality assured by means of formal peer review and/or the gallery’s programme and acquisition approval processes.

All exhibitions, associated events and matters relating to the Victoria University of Wellington Art Collection are documented thoroughly and records are kept in the exhibition and collection archives. These are administered in conjunction with Art History as part of the New Zealand Art Archive that is being developed as a joint resource for students, staff and visiting scholars. For information about and access to the archive please contact adamartgallery@vuw.ac.nz
